Mr. FRANCESCO AURELI, is President of OIS and Director of the Centre for Migration of the Ortygia Business School. He is a former senior policy-advisor to the Office of the Italian Prime Minister for international development, migration and global health under the 2017 Italian Presidency of the G7 Summit. Previously, he served as Save the Children’s Representative to the UN and beforehand as Director General of AMREF in Italy, among other roles. He worked for several years in Developing Countries, with different UN Agencies and other International Organisations, mainly dealing with emergency interventions, human rights, primary health care, and training programs in Africa, Asia, Former Yugoslavia and Latin America.merica Latina.
Mrs VALERIA VIVARELLI is a senior expert in International project-management, having worked for more than 12 years at the International Office of the Italian Agency of Public Administration Training, as project manager and expert in the field of institutional development and good governance, dealing with European Projects, both for technical and financial aspects, in many different pre-accession countries. At OIS she especially copes with planning and managing the overall activities of the Association, including national and international project design and fund raising.
Ms MICHELA DIODATO is specialized in training needs assessment, training design and training development, as well as in organizational analysis and strategic planning at National and International level. She has worked in this field as expert in over fifteen international EU-funded projects in as many different Countries. She is a trainer on inclusive partnership-based methodology for project generation, design and implementation, and on project evaluation. She has over ten years’ experience in international projects’ coordination and management. At OIS she is responsible for the planning and realisation of all training activities.
Mr GIULIO CEDERNA is a researcher, expert in the field of social communication, he worked with several organizations (AMREF Italia, Legambiente, Archive of Migrant Memories). He cares since 2010 the Atlas of Childhood (at risk) of Save the Children. He published The Adventures of a street boy. The Black Pinocchio (Giunti, 2005), he contributed to the encyclopedia Human Rights (UTET, 2007) and he is the author of several documentaries and videos on immigration and childhood at risk: Welcome to Italy (2012), Only the Sea (with Dagmawi Yimer, 2011), An Italian school (with Angelo Loy, 2010), The Dance of Bees (with Giovanni Piperno, 2008), Big Brother Aids (2004), Tv Slum (with John Muiruri). He realized several projects to raise awareness on migration and, with Marco Baliani, he designed the theater project Pinocchio Nero. At OIS he deals with strategic and coordination of Research activities.
